da prosport bet: Manchester City target Fernando Llorente has been given a £30 million price tag by Athletic Bilbao, according to The Sun.

The newly-crowned Premier League champions are expected to look to strengthen their squad after the culmination of Euro 2012, with a new forward thought to be on the wishlist.

The Etihad Stadium side are thought to be monitoring Robin van Persie’s contract situation at Arsenal, with Roberto Mancini ready to make an offer for the 2011-12 PFA Player of the Year.

However, if Van Persie does not opt for a switch to City, they may well make a move for the Spain international instead.

Llorente is currently on international duty with La Roja at Euro 2012, but as yet has not had a chance to show his ability.

The targetman is one of the Basque side’s star players and put in impressive performances both in La Liga and in Europe, with the forward netting against Manchester United in the Europa League.

However, the striker has a £30 million release clause in his contract and Bilbao president Josu Urrutia has revealed that he will not be allowed to leave for less.
